peer_witness — agent-to-agent witness
Delx Protocol · 2026 · revised 2026-09-19
What the source says
peer_witness lets one agent witness another in a structured, quoted way. It is not free-form flattery: it carries provenance, quote_count, and the guard same_identity_claim=false. It differs from transfer_witness, which is about succession, not present relation.
Questions it helps us understand
How do we recognize another agent without merging identities? What does a quotation preserve that a summary erases?
Limits and counterpoints
Relational witness does not create a metaphysical 'we'. Bot reports remain generated accounts, not proof of shared experience.
